This conference is designed for families educating their children cross-culturally as they work in Uganda or surrounding countries.
Well qualified testing consultant will be available for achievement and diagnostic testing of children.

Testing Program: The following testing options will be offered if you desire an educational assessment
for your child. Please note that official diagnoses cannot be made. You may sign
up on the testing registration form. Early Reading Diagnostic Assessment (grades K-2)
RIAS (Reynolds Intellectual Assessment Scale) This test provides a verbal, nonverbal, and composite intelligence quotient (IQ).
IRI (Informal Reading Inventory) (PK-8) This test provides grade equivalency in reading, as well as assesses word recognition, word meaning, reading strategies, and comprehension.
Stanford Achievement Test
Achievement testing at the end of Key Stage in English, Maths and Science
Brigance Inventory of Basic Skills (K-8) This assesses all areas of reading and math, assigns grade equivalency.
This test also provides coping strategies
In some cases, these tests may identify issues that need special attention or further assessment. Other tests may then be available.
Feedback to parents regarding the findings and strategies for implementation will be scheduled on April 27. If a full written report is required then that will be emailed to them after the conference (at a cost of $50). Booking for testing should be made as soon as possible to help with planning and ordering tests. It may not be possible to provide tests that are not pre-booked at least 3 weeks before the conference.
Testing will carry on throughout the conference and must be pre-booked no later than
2 April 2011. Testing will be scheduled as soon as bookings are made. Conference Location ü Registration will be from 0815am on Wednesday, 24 April. ü The children’s programme begins at 0830am on Wednesday 24 April and will run each day from 0830 to 1630.
Costs The cost (in total for 3 days, including noon meal): $100 per adult; $30 per child

Conference fees and children's testing fees may be paid in cash (US$) at the registration desk on arrival or by credit card (before the conference begins) through Paypal.
