Educational Testing

April 30 –May 4 2012
Anchor Education will make available an educational testing programme, for children within Nairobi and the surrounding areas. Qualified testing consultants will be available for achievement and diagnostic testing. Feedback to parents regarding the findings and strategies for implementation will be scheduled on May 3 and May 4. If a full written report is required then that will be emailed to them (at a cost of an additional $50).
Testing Program:
The following testing options will be offered if you desire an educational assessment for your child. Please note that official diagnoses cannot be made. You may sign up on the testing registration form.
Early Reading Diagnostic Assessment (grades K-2)
This test provides information on
the development of skills your child needs to become a successful reader. These skills
include phonemic and phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
RIAS (Reynolds Intellectual Assessment Scale)
This test provides a verbal, nonverbal, and composite intelligence quotient (IQ).
IRI (Informal Reading Inventory) (PK-8)
This test provides grade equivalency in reading, as well as assesses word recognition, word meaning, reading strategies, and comprehension.
Stanford Achievement Test (Grades 3-8)
Achievement testing assess whether your child
is “on track” with his or her age mates. These tests offer assessment in the areas
of reading, spelling, science, and mathematics. These tests take at least 3 days
(5 sessions) to administer.
Key Stage 2 (UK year 6)
Achievement testing at the end of Key Stage 2 in English, Maths and Science
Brigance Inventory of Basic Skills (K-8)
This assesses all areas of reading and math, assigns grade equivalency.
In some cases, these tests may identify issues that need special attention or further assessment. Other tests may then be available.
Booking for testing should be made as soon as possible (before 2 April 2012) to help with planning and ordering tests
Testing will be scheduled as soon as bookings are made. Location to be confirmed.

Booking must be made before Monday 2 April 2012. A non-refundable fee (30% of total) is payable at time of booking. For payment click on the Payments tab.
Testing fees may be paid in cash (US$) on arrival for the test, or by credit card (before 19 April 2012) through Paypal on this web site.
Sorry, we cannot accept checks or credit card payment during the testing programme in Kenya.
